Safe Return to Practice Course

Who is this course aimed at?

Any specialty trainee returning to anaesthetics after a period of time away from clinical practice - for example after maternity or paternity leave, a research post, out of programme experience or any sort of career break.

What does the course involve?

Workshops covering airway skills, paediatrics, obstetrics and ICU.

Discussion of key developments and hot topics over the last 12 months.

Practise anaesthetic emergencies in a safe simulation environment.

Network with other trainees in a similar position.

Lots of opportunities to ask questions and discuss difficult cases.

Day 1 - Friday, 7 September 2018 - Generic day (poster & application form)

Day 2 - Thursday, 18 October 2018 - Anaesthetics Skills Day (poster & application form)

This is a FREE, two day programme fully funded by HEE for anyone who’s been out of practice for any reason. The first day will be a generic day for all specialties covering issues around returning to practice such as LTFT training, BLS, GMC hot topics etc. The second day will be an anaesthetic-specific skills and sim day.

Whilst we hope people will come to both dates, we are very happy for candidates to attend one or the other depending on their needs.

To secure your place you will be asked to submit a £25.00 refundable deposit.
