4th Essex Ultrasound Guided Regional Anaesthesia Meeting

5th & 6th November 2018

Venue: City Pavilion, Romford

After successful courses last year, and excellent feedback, we are in the process of organising the 4th Essex Ultrasound Guided Regional Anaesthesia meeting - Nov 2018.

The date we have set is November 5th & 6th 2018, and we wish to invite those interested to register.

This will be a 2 day regional anaesthesia & pain medicine course. The 2 days will offer a comprehensive and engaging programme, worth 12 RCoA CPD Points (applied for), and delegate numbers will be limited in order to enhance interaction and learning. The Workshops also count towards Parts 1&2 of the European Diploma in Regional Anaesthesia

Day 1 will cover advances in regional anaesthesia practice and lectures on core topics of interest. There will be 4 lecture sessions, each complimented by a live masterclass demonstration to further embed learning. These sessions will be interactive and will allow ample opportunity for exchange of experiences and education between faculty and delegates.

Day 2 will consist of focused, small group UGRA scanning workshops on healthy volunteers. We will utilise several stations to allow delegates to experience hands on exposure to the sonoanatomy required to perform the important regional blocks used in day to day practice, as well as advanced techniques. There will also be needling stations on meat and phantoms to allow realistic needling practice and Catheter insertion techniques. All stations will be conducted under the guidance of experienced faculty who can impart knowledge and tips to improve delegates' chances of success when returning to their hospitals.
