  • Burns management and intensive care – management of burns in children (lower limit 6 months) and adults (MOF, sepsis, procedural sedation and anaesthesia), achievement of burns and plastic higher and advanced unit of training, on call commitment is to Burns ITU

  • Regional anaesthesia for upper limb (1300 blocks per annum in this regional hand centre)

  • Anaesthesia for free flap surgery

  • Extensive use of TIVA

  • Head and Neck anaesthesia, difficult airway management

  • Paediatric anaesthesia – paediatric plastic surgery and cleft surgery (3months and above)

Research and Audit opportunity, will enhance your CV for consultant applications

  • 1 day per week for research/ audit work (dedicated non- clinical time)

  • Experienced mentorship

  • Expected to complete an audit project, a research project, publish a poster, present at meetings

WHO: Suitable for post FRCA trainees (WT and LTFT), who have at least 2 yrs experience of specialty training

DETAILS:

  • Posts are funded by the Trust

  • May be prospectively recognised as OOPE by the Deanery

  • On call commitment which is prospective cover of 1:8

  • For 6 -12 months
